The GLAXOR Bottom Patch Fitting acts as the critical physical link between a frameless glass door and a floor-mounted hydraulic spring.

Installation requires a standardized rectangular cutout at the bottom corner of the glass panel. The solid metal inner core of the patch fitting is separated into two halves and clamped tightly around this glass cutout using high-tensile hex screws. Thick, protective polymer gaskets sit directly between the metal core and the glass. When tightened, these gaskets compress, creating a massive friction grip that holds the door securely while preventing the hard metal from cracking the fragile glass edge.

At the very bottom of the inner core is a precision-machined socket. This socket slots directly over the rotating metal spindle of a floor spring installed in the ground. When a user pushes or pulls the door, the patch fitting physically turns the floor spring spindle, allowing the hydraulic mechanism below to control the door’s swing and closing speed. Finally, the polished stainless steel cover plates clip over the core assembly to completely hide the internal engineering, resulting in a clean, sophisticated finish.
