The GLAXOR Top Patch Fitting acts as the critical physical link between the upper corner of a moving frameless glass door and the stationary upper door frame (or ceiling).

Installation requires a standardized rectangular cutout at the top corner of the glass panel. The solid metal inner core of the patch fitting is separated into two halves and clamped tightly around this glass cutout using high-tensile hex screws. Thick, protective polymer gaskets sit directly between the metal core and the glass. When tightened, these gaskets compress, creating a massive friction grip that holds the door securely without cracking the fragile glass edge.

At the very top of the inner core is a precision-machined circular receptacle. During the final stage of door installation, a stationary metal pivot pin—which is mounted to the ceiling or upper door frame—drops securely into this receptacle. This creates a perfectly smooth, frictionless upper vertical axis. As the floor spring at the bottom controls the door’s movement, the Top Patch Fitting smoothly glides around the top pivot pin, keeping the door perfectly upright and aligned at all times.
