The GLAXOR 1-Way Spider Fitting (Wall / Structure Mount) acts as a critical load-bearing anchor at the terminating edge or boundary of a point-supported glass system.

Installation begins by aligning the flat backplate against a primary structural support, such as a concrete perimeter wall or an internal steel I-beam. High-tensile bolts are passed through the slotted holes on the plate. These slots are a crucial engineering feature, allowing the installer to slide the fitting slightly to make micro-adjustments for perfect leveling before tightening the bolts down completely.

Once the base is rigidly anchored to the building’s skeleton, the single arm extends outward to meet the edge of the terminating glass panel. A point-fixing routel (sold separately) is passed through the arm’s eyelet and secured mechanically through a pre-drilled hole in the glass. This configuration effectively locks the glass in place. The spider fitting absorbs the dead weight and dynamic wind loads from the panel’s edge, transferring that kinetic energy safely and directly into the sturdy perimeter framework of the building, preventing edge-stress and ensuring absolute stability.
