Knockout Machine separates sand and castings from the mold box efficiently. It features a top deck made of thick steel plate with a sturdy mesh of bars and flats. This deck, along with a rugged fabricated frame, floats on heavy-duty springs supported by a strong structure.

A powerful drive mechanism, either an eccentric shaft or a vibro motor, shakes the floating top frame. A fabricated guide chute directs sand into an oscillating metal trough conveyor or other equipment placed below.

How Our Knockout Shakeout Equipment Works

The operation of our knockout shakeout machine relies on powerful, high-frequency vibratory force. The machine features a heavy-duty perforated grid (or deck) mounted on robust, vibration-absorbing heavy steel springs.

When the cooled sand mold containing the metal casting is placed or dropped onto the deck, twin eccentric vibrating motors generate immense linear or circular motion. This aggressive shaking action causes the hardened bonded sand to shatter and detach completely from the metal. The loose sand instantly falls through the deck’s grid openings into a collection hopper below for reclamation, while the clean, solid metal casting remains safely on top, ready to be moved to the shot blasting or machining phase.
