How Our Jolt Squeeze Moulding Machine Works

The high efficiency of our pneumatic jolter moulding machine comes from its dual-action “jolt and squeeze” process. The machine consists of a heavy-duty vibrating table mounted on a pneumatic cylinder.

First, the sand-filled moulding box (flask) and the pattern are placed on the machine table. During the “jolt” phase, compressed air rapidly lifts the table and drops it against a solid base. This heavy impact forces the sand to pack tightly around the intricate details of the pattern. Following the jolt, the “squeeze” phase applies high pneumatic pressure from the top, compressing the upper layer of the sand to create a solid, uniformly dense mould. Once compacted, the machine smoothly draws the pattern out, leaving a perfectly formed sand mould ready for molten metal pouring.
