How Our Plate Magnetic Separator Works
The operation of our industrial plate magnet is completely passive and requires zero electricity. The unit consists of a robust, flat magnetic circuit permanently enclosed within a rugged stainless steel housing. It is typically installed directly into the bottom floor of an angled gravity chute or suspended above a material stream.
As the bulk material flows over or under the magnetic plate, the powerful, deep-penetrating magnetic field reaches into the product burden. Any stray ferrous metals such as nuts, bolts, wire, or rust flakes—are instantly violently attracted to the plate. The metal is pulled tight against the stainless steel face and held securely in place, preventing it from being washed back into the clean product stream. To clean the magnet, the operator simply opens the hinged installation door and wipes the accumulated metal off the face.
