The GLAXOR Over Panel Patch Fitting serves as the secure structural junction between a stationary over-panel (transom) glass and the swinging frameless glass door located directly beneath it.

Installation requires a standardized rectangular cutout at the bottom corner of the fixed upper glass panel. The solid metal inner core of the patch fitting is separated into two halves and clamped tightly around this glass cutout using high-tensile hex screws. Thick, protective polymer gaskets sit directly between the metal core and the glass. When tightened, these gaskets compress, creating a massive friction grip that holds the fitting securely without cracking the fragile glass edge.

The fitting houses a pivot receptacle (or downward-facing pin). This aligns perfectly with the Top Patch Fitting mounted on the top corner of the swinging door. As the door is pushed or pulled, the Over Panel Patch Fitting remains rigidly in place on the stationary glass, providing the solid upper axis required for the door’s smooth, frictionless rotation.
