GLAXOR Heavy-Duty Polymer Track Stopper & Buffer Catch
The GLAXOR Heavy-Duty Polymer Track Stopper operates on a simple but highly effective wedge-locking principle. The unit is inserted directly into the open channel of an overhead sliding door track. To secure it, the installer tightens the heavy-duty vertical steel screw. As the screw extends upward, its pointed tip presses firmly against the inner ceiling of the track, simultaneously wedging the polymer body tightly against the bottom internal lips of the track profile.
Once locked in place, it acts as a fixed barrier. When a sliding door is pushed, the rolling carriage travels down the track until it meets the stopper. The extended polymer arm safely catches the carriage, absorbing the door’s momentum. This mechanism prevents the door from over-traveling, rolling off the track, or slamming into the adjacent wall, thereby protecting the entire system.
