How Our Magnetic Drawer Separator Works

The operation of our magnetic drawer is incredibly simple yet highly efficient. The unit consists of a rugged stainless steel housing (the drawer frame) fitted with one or more rows of powerful magnetic tube grates. The separator is typically installed directly into vertical gravity-feed pipes, hoppers, or machine inlets.

As the dry bulk material flows downward through the housing, it is forced to pass over and around the staggered magnetic tubes. The intense magnetic field instantly attracts and grabs any ferrous metal contaminants hiding within the product stream. The captured metal is securely held tight against the tubes, preventing it from washing off back into the clean product. To clean the unit, the operator simply pulls the magnetic grate drawer out of the housing and wipes the accumulated metal off the tubes.
