The GLAXOR Standard 1-Way Spider Fitting functions as the final load-bearing anchor at the edge of a point-supported glass system.

Installation begins by rigidly bolting the thicker, central hub of the fitting directly to a primary perimeter structural support such as a vertical steel I-beam, structural post, or boundary wall using a high-tensile bolt.

Once securely anchored, the single arm extends outward to meet the corner or edge of the terminating glass panel. A point-fixing routel (sold separately) is passed through the arm’s eyelet and secured mechanically through a pre-drilled hole in the glass. This connection safely locks the glass in place. The spider fitting absorbs the dead weight and dynamic wind loads from the panel’s edge, funneling that kinetic energy safely away from the fragile glass and directly into the building’s sturdy perimeter framework, preventing edge-stress and ensuring absolute stability.
