How Our Magnetic Roll Separator Works
The operation of our magnetic roll separator relies on extreme magnetic forces and precise material flow. The machine features an ultra-strong magnetic roll (made of Rare Earth Neodymium magnets) and an idle tensioning roll, with a highly durable, thin Kevlar belt running continuously between them.
The dry raw material is fed onto the belt via a vibrating feeder, ensuring a very thin and uniform monolayer of material. As the material travels over the high-intensity magnetic roll, the non-magnetic particles are thrown off naturally into a clean discharge chute due to centrifugal force. However, the fine magnetic and paramagnetic impurities are strongly attracted to the roll. They cling to the thin belt for a fraction of a second longer and are carried underneath the roll, where they are pulled out of the magnetic field and safely dropped into a separate reject chute.
