The GLAXOR Standard 2-Way 180° Inline Spider Fitting acts as a crucial structural connector, joining two adjacent flat glass panels to a building’s internal framework.

Installation begins by securely bolting the central hub of the fitting to a primary structural element, such as a vertical steel I-beam, structural post, or custom mounting fin, using a high-tensile central bolt.

Once rigidly anchored, the two inline arms extend exactly 180 degrees in opposite directions across the joint of the two intersecting glass panels. Point-fixing routels (sold separately) are passed through the eyelets of each arm to mechanically grip the pre-drilled holes in the glass. This configuration safely supports the heavy panels on a flat plane. The spider fitting absorbs the dead weight and wind shear forces from the glass, transferring that kinetic energy safely and directly into the sturdy internal skeleton of the building, preventing stress fractures and ensuring absolute structural stability.
