The GLAXOR Modern Mortise Handle operates on a highly reliable spindle and leverage mechanism. The handle system utilizes a square metal rod (the spindle) that passes directly through the door, connecting the levers on both sides to an internal mortise lock body embedded within the door’s edge.

When a user presses down on the ergonomic lever, it rotates the spindle. This rotation engages the internal mechanics of the mortise lock, retracting the latch and allowing the door to swing open. When released, the heavy-duty springs inside the lock case (and supplementary springs in the handle rose) instantly push the lever back to its resting horizontal position.

The mounting system is engineered for maximum stability. Inner mounting plates are securely fastened together through the door (bolt-through fixing) to prevent the handle from loosening over time. Finally, the decorative outer metal cover (the rose) snaps or threads securely over the mounting plate, completely concealing the screws and presenting a flawless, flush metallic finish.
