The GLAXOR Flush-Fit Swivel Point Fixing Routel operates on a dynamic, articulated load-distribution system rather than a static, rigid grip.
To install, the glass panel must be prepared with a specialized conical (countersunk) drilled hole. The flat head of the routel drops perfectly into this recess, resting flush against a specialized conical isolation gasket. Behind the glass, the main threaded shaft contains an internal articulated joint (often a ball-and-socket or heavily spring-loaded pivot).
As extreme environmental forces—such as high winds, thermal expansion, or natural building settlement—cause the large glass panels to bow or shift, the swivel joint pivots smoothly with the glass. This crucial articulation absorbs the kinetic energy and redistributes the stress safely away from the fragile edges of the glass hole. The rear of the assembly is then securely bolted to a spider bracket or structural fin using the heavy-duty hex nuts, holding the entire facade firmly in place while allowing it to “breathe.”
