The GLAXOR 4-Way Spider Fitting with Glass Fin Support acts as the critical bridge between exterior glass panels and the building’s structural support system.

Instead of mounting to a traditional steel column, this specific fitting is designed to mount onto a “glass fin”—a thick, structural piece of glass positioned perpendicularly behind the facade. To install, the central channel of the spider fitting is slid over the edge or through a pre-drilled hole in the glass fin. The heavy-duty bolts running through the center of the fitting are then tightened, securely clamping the two inner plates tightly against the glass fin.

Once the base is securely anchored to the fin, the four radiating arms extend outward. Point-fixing routels (sold separately) are passed through the holes at the end of each arm to grip the four corners of the exterior glass panels. This mechanical design effectively gathers the dead weight and wind loads from the large exterior facade panels and transfers them directly into the supporting glass fin, creating a highly stable, completely transparent structural wall.
