The mechanism relies on threaded connecting bolts that pass directly through pre-drilled holes in the glass door. Heavy-duty protective gaskets are positioned between the round metal standoffs and the glass surface. When the interior and exterior handle segments are brought together, the bolts thread into the standoffs. As the system is tightened, the gaskets compress evenly, creating a friction-fit seal that holds the hardware securely without putting stress on the glass. Finally, small set screws (grub screws), visible on the collars of the standoffs, are tightened using an Allen key. This locks the internal bolt to the outer handle structure, completely eliminating any lateral movement or wobbling over time.
